There’s also the blog, which will continue to expand as our project gets underway. There you will find my commentaries on news and politics called, “The Special Comment.” I often read these on air and then post them to read with relevant, hyperlinked sources. Additionally, I will continue my dialogue on Secular Humanism with my partner on this endeavor, Tylor Lovins. In these series of longer essays, we will share our perspectives on the future of Secular Humanism as a philosophy of life that can match the appeal of religion.
Secular Humanism, broadly defined, advocates for a society based on rationality, scientific and intellectual progress, ethical action, and liberal democracy. Our goal with Reason Revolution is to articulate and advocate for Secular Humanism’s broader social and moral benefits. Asking tough questions and engaging in important conversations will help us to refine and strengthen our concept of Secular Humanism and its future.
Dedicating ourselves to the success and further implementation of Secular Humanism in our broader culture is the goal of Reason Revolution. In a sense, we’re revolting against the dark, superstitious past and embracing a bright, reason-based future. We hope you will join us in this endeavor.
